A three-fold event…

  1.  At the downturn of the economy, five Portland – based photographers got to thinking, “Rather than compete with each other, let’s collaborate.” Photo Force is a creative force; bringing the energy of five top photographers together in one collective, committed to being a force for good & helping worthy non-profits tell their story in new ways.  Marylhurst University is pleased to bring you: Photo Force: Setting the Table ß Click to preview photos.
  2. Bid on Blazer Tickets, A Day of Bird Watching, Guided Walking Tours through Portland & many more at the Silent Auction to benefit the Oregon Food Bank! (Items donated by Marylhurst University Departments.)
  3. What are the root causes of hunger in Oregon? How do I help? When it comes to ending hunger, Patti Whitney-Wise is one of the nation’s most effective activists. Her creative approaches and innovative leadership of the Oregon Hunger Relief Task Force helped Oregon become the only state in the country to reduce hunger, as measured in the 2005 USDA report. She has won multiple awards for her work and is an author of “Act to End Hunger: 40 Ways in 5 Years to Make a Difference.” Engage in a powerful discussion led by Patti Whitney-Wise and Annie Herbert (Director of Communications at the Oregon Food Bank) surrounding root causes of hunger in Oregon and agencies providing relief.
