Thanks to everyone who attended Something Beautiful for Haiti. Together we raised over $770 for Sister Denise Desil and her orphanage in Haiti. Special thanks to Jesse and Katrina of Bon Appetit as well as Cindy at Documart for sponsoring the event. In the words of Sister Denise:

“We deeply appreciate your wonderful work you have done to support the work of our Congregation in Haiti. These funds are very important to our community, particularly because of the major losses we suffered in the earthquake. We are just beginning to repair some facilities. All of us are grateful that more sisters and children in our care were not killed in the quake and with God’s help and other people like you. We will continue our work for the poor. God’s love for us is the source of our strength and our trust in His loving care is validated by the generosity of those who support our service to the poor in Haiti.”

Please feel free to contact the Marylhurst Service Program Coordinator, Amanda Baker, at (503) 534-4063 if you were unable to attend the event and would like to contribute to this cause. Thank you!
